Wendy Douglas enjoys painting still life studies of decorative subjects found around most peoples homes which draw out the beauty of ordinary things that are often taken for granted. Her nudes tend to be sensuous and rich in form and colour. Recent works reflect her observations of the landscape and her journey from the country to the city.
Wendy has a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Art 1988 and taught art at Clare and Burra schools from 1990 to1997. She works mainly in acrylics and has a strong, confident style with an energetic appreciation of bold, bright colour.
