After graduating with a Batchelor of Design in Human Environments in
1989. Fiona worked as a commercial Interior Designer for almost 10
years, specializing in schematic and furniture design.
Children possess great qualities, they are visual, passionate, optimistic, enquirers and learners, creative, dreamers and comedians. The environmental and social issues confronting us today, include: Re-cycling,
global warming, the depletion of the seas and forests or simply to
respect differences and be kind to one's self as well as others.
Combining the elements of children and the planet - my aim was to
re-enforce awareness in a visual, colourful, busy, fun-filled and
amusing way which children can respond to and feel part of.
We can all make a difference and know that change is possible
- our children do not have to inherit an endangered planet. With this
knowledge along with action and awareness we can preserve and nurture
our children's optimism giving them the pride that we admire today for
tomorrow. |
